Playscape
Playscape was established to provide a much-needed service to childcare centres in New Zealand - they design and build innovative and educational outdoor spaces for preschool-aged children.
The website is designed to provide enough details about Playscape and its services without 'giving the game away'. Users who apply to Playscape for greater access to restricted areas are rewarded with details about the company's recent activities.

September 2011Wintergarden Pavilion
This website is designed to promote the Wintergarden Pavilion's unique location and hospitality services, encouraging people to come to the Café, or to book the Pavilion for their function/event, thus minimising phone enquiries.
Updates to the website are made via a custom-built content management system (CMS), and continued support is provided when required.

May 2011SPARKS
This project required a cost-effective method of displaying video galleries that could be updated by the Client via Dreamweaver. This was achieved using a customised jQuery plugin that showcases the work of SPARKS and its artists.

March 2011Mt Eden Normal Primary School Food & Fun Fair
This is, and continues to be an enjoyable community project to work on. The website promotes the annual Food & Fun Fair of a local school, which raises funds to provide extra resources for students attending Mt Eden Normal Primary School.
The site is a work-in-progress, with the aim of developing a content management system (CMS) to support the Fair organisers in coming years.

February 2011Save the Moa
Save the Moa is an online 'taster' for a (hypothetical) educational kiosk concept for the Auckland Museum targeting 5-10 year olds.
I used a time machine theme, where children can go back in time to see the exhibit as it was in real life, and learn from the experience. In order to 'Save the Moa', the child must correctly answer questions about the Moa to keep the hunters at bay. Have a go, and see how much you learn!

August 2010Flight of the Conchords
Forming part of my studies at Media Design School, this single frame 'fan' website was built in Flash using Actionscript 3. All content is dynamic and loaded from external sources, making it simple to change out text and media.
The diarama design is off-beat, and in keeping with the Flight of the Conchords humour.

June 2010Rangi and the Bees
This Flash timeline animation was a lot of fun to create. I was assigned with the task of creating an animation with a soundtrack, no more than 50 seconds in duration, and only limited by my imagination!
The design was influenced by my childrens' artwork, while the storyline developed from a random idea I had in that place between awake and asleep.

April 2010Onewhero Society of Performing Arts (OSPA)
The purpose of this (Media Design School) project was to produce a content management system for an actual Client.
I approached OSPA, a not-for-profit theatre group based in the rural community where I was brought up. A website proved to be just the thing they needed to effectively market their shows to the wider community.
